Training of Chocolate Production Expert

Well.. I am going to share you what I have done along training of chocolate production expert in Balai Diklat Industri Makassar. Balai Diklat Industri is Industrial training center that do out education and training for human resources with focus about cocoa, seaweed, and packaging. And lucky we training focus about cocoa production.

Balai Diklat Indistri Makassar facilitate us with stay in dormitory, food 3 times, coffee break 2 times, and classroom for 6 days. They even gave us pocket money, and make us really comfortable.

First day, at  8am we studied in classroom with Mr. Agusalim. We learned about what chocolate is, Chocolate origin, benefits of chocolate, type of chocolate, and process making of chocolate. Next we studied with Mr. Syarial about recipes that we will do for tomorrow such as, chocolate jam, chocolate dodol, ginger chocolate, brownies, almond crispies, and ect, then we finish our study at 5pm.
Second day is time for practical in Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar, but first we study with Mr. Musawantoro to gave us a lesson about Pastry and Bakery for 1 hour. Then we start to practical and get the recipe, this second day we made chocolate dodol (take process for 3 hour), chocolate jam, 3 in 1 ginger chocolate, and 3 in 1 chocolate. We make the product with our group that has been shared before. After we all finish, we cleaning the kitchen as usual, and back to dormitory at 4pm.
And third day started, with happy and exited as usual, this day we made brownies, chocolate pie, and almond chocolate crispy, and the next as usual in kitchen laboratory.
The fourth day in classroom we filling pre-assessment form, written competence test, and to know what should we complete for this sertification. Then we lucky because they permitted us to visit the chocolate factory, saw chocolate machine, to know the process and  taste the chocolate in there. Yummy!!.
Fifth day, in kitchen laboratory we started to practical test, and this is individual test. Every person have their own one product for the test that has been shared before.

Finally, last day in classroom time to announce our result from during training in Balai Diklat Industri Makassar. And they states that we all are competence during past this training. And then finally we finish the training as well, and back to home.

Impression :

Training in Balai Diklat is best experience, from the facility, the food, until we learn about chocolate. I think to know about chocolate is important and adding my insight, because I even don’t know why the chocolate can be like now. So, thank you so much for my lecturer and BDI that give us a good chance.
